The charging click-clack of the stations, the ratting of the courageous knights armor, songs of war trumpets play as you view this work by Harry Bush. "At the Charge" celebrates the bygone notion of military splendor and righteous battle. This pencil and watercolor work benefits from its bold composition and striking use of color and pattern. English painter Harry Bush (Get your mind out of the gutter) was born in Brighton in 1883. His arts education was received at the Regent Street Polytechnic and the Clapham School in England. During his successful career he commonly displayed work at the Royal Academy starting in 1922 until his death in 1957.
