Tuesday Art ATTACK- Saul Tepper “Man Climbing a Mountain”

American illustrator Saul Tepper was born on Christmas day 1899 in New York, New York. Tepper loved art and worked on his talent through high school. After high school he worked as a letterer as he attended art school at night at Cooper Union Art School in New York. Tepper became a commercial illustrator and developed his own distinctive style. He soon became in high demand; working on major adverting campaigns and magazines. Tepper was also a noted song writer, writing songs for Nat King Cole and Glenn Miller. This painting is titled “Man Climbing a Mountain” and was created for a magazine in 1931. Tepper was very active his whole life and passed away in 1987.
