Tuesday Art ATTACK- Jamie Wyeth “Portrait of Orca Bates”

Jamie Wyeth is an important American artist. He is a realist who works out of his homes in Maine and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. He is the third generation of the Brandywine School, an illustration movement that came out of Chadds Ford in the early 1900s. Much of his work up until the early 2000s is a modern more realistic interpretation of regionalism. This painting is a real slice of life and was created in 1989.
